By using Track Golf you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, including the usage analytics described there. Track Golf is a tool for recording your golf rounds by photographing a paper scorecard.

The handicap is unofficial

The handicap index Track Golf shows is an unofficial estimatecomputed with a WHS-style method. It is not issued by the USGA, a national association, or any handicapping authority, and must not be used where an official index is required. Scores read from photos may contain errors; always review them before saving.

Course information is a best effort

Course details in the app — names, pars, stroke indexes, distances, ratings and slopes — come from a golf course data provider and from rounds other players have logged. They may be out of date or wrong, and a course can change its layout without telling anyone. Treat the scorecard in your hand as the authority, and check the details before saving a round.

Acceptable use

Use the app for your own golf record-keeping.
Don't abuse, script, or overload the scanning service, or try to circumvent its limits.
Don't upload images you don't have the right to use, or that contain others' information they wouldn't want recorded.
Don't attempt to break, probe, or misuse the service or other users' data.
Don't deliberately enter false course information. The course library is shared, so a made-up course or a wrong par is a small mess for everyone else.

We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the rounds and photos you upload. You grant us permission to process them only to provide the app (for example, sending a scorecard image to the reading service). See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled and deleted.

One exception, and it is about the golf course rather than about you: when you save a round, the course details on it — the course name, and each hole's par, stroke index and distance, with the rating and slope — are added to a course library shared with all players, and you grant us permission to keep and share them for that purpose, including after you delete your account. Your scores, dates, notes and photos are never part of it. See Privacy Policy for the detail.

Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties, and may change or be unavailable at times. We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Track Golf is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, or for decisions made based on the unofficial handicap or any misread score. Your remedy is to stop using the app.
